The paper provides a comparative analysis of three monuments of Old Russian literature. Through comparison with other monuments, the work reveals more deeply some aspects of the "Kazan history": it compares its joyful, victorious pathos with the pathos of the "Tale of the capture of Constantinople", full of bitterness of defeat, and examines the origins of the confrontation between the Tatars and the Russians, which were described in the "Tale of the ruin of Ryazan" and highlights the ways that the author of "Kazan History" used to overcome this hatred.
