The relevance of the study of the development of small and medium business in the world is determined by its extensive influence on the general state of the economy and the level of development of national economies, as well as the creation of positive preconditions for the emergence and functioning of new industries in industry. Furthermore, small business makes a significant contribution to employment and output.
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the current state of small and medium business in the Asia-Pacific Region and determine the influence of external factors on its development. The object of the research is small and medium businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. The subject of the study is the coverage of the role of external factors in the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Asia-Pacific region and their impact on the current state of the region.
The study consists of two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to a review of the existing literature on the topic of entrepreneurship. The second chapter includes econometric analysis, on the basis of which conclusions are drawn about the determinants of entrepreneurship in the region.
The key conclusion of the theoretical analysis is the special importance of the appropriate economic policy in SME development. From the practical part of the study, it can be concluded that the external factors influencing small and medium entrepreneurship include the ease of doing business, the ease of starting a business, the degree of minority investors protection, the prevalence of international trade, contract enforceability, the ease of resolving insolvency.
Not only does this study expand the existing literature on the topic of entrepreneurship development, but it also has the practical value which lies in the fact that the identified SME support factors can be used by the government as a measure to stimulate business development.
