The object of research in this work is mechanically activated graphite.
The aim of the work is to study the fluorescent properties of mechanically activated graphite and the sorption capacity with respect to chromium (VI) and molybdenum (VI) ions.
The paper presents the results of a study of the fluorescence of mechanically activated graphite. The influence of pH of solutions, various ions, the influence of temperature, the influence of surface treatment of mechanically activated graphite is considered. Sorption of chromium (VI) and molybdenum (VI) ions on mechanically activated graphite was carried out. The influence of the pH of solutions, the sorption time and the mass of the sorbent is considered. Graphs of the degree of sorption of chromium (VI) and molybdenum (VI) ions on mechanically activated graphite are constructed depending on: the pH value of solutions; on the time and mass of the sorbent; sorption isotherms are constructed. The sorption isotherms were processed using theoretical models. The sorption capacity of the sorbent with respect to chromium (VI) and molybdenum (VI) is calculated.
