The first chapter will examine the interests of various countries in the Mediterranean region. It is worth recognizing that the Mediterranean region has a geostrategic position. This region has access to different parts of the world, being a kind of connecting link between East and West, between Europe and Africa. That is why many countries seek to strengthen and consolidate their influence there. Each state has its own strategy for this, each state uses its own tactics. It is the infrastructure that helps them in this. Each country focuses on a particular type of infrastructure or several at the same time. Some states achieve their goals with more peaceful infrastructure policies, while others use more aggressive methods. All this will be studied in the first chapter.
The second chapter focuses on the role of infrastructure in the Mediterranean region. In addition to the countries, it is worth noting that the infrastructure itself can have an impact on the overall situation in the region. They can determine the nature of relations between countries, they can contribute to a particular trend. It is the development of infrastructure that can affect the status of a country. As the Mediterranean region is now in a state of transformation, infrastructure is a driving force in one direction or another for each Mediterranean country. The second chapter will look at the main types of infrastructure that have the greatest impact on the development of the region and how it affects its configuration as a whole.
