This study aims to explore the significance and impact of cross-border and intra-border cooperation as a tool for transforming the economies of the regions of Russia and China. Through a comprehensive analysis of the economic conditions in both regions, including economic structure, industrial characteristics, and development levels, this study reveals the current situation and challenges faced by both countries in terms of economic transformation. Building upon this analysis, the study focuses on investigating the positive effects of cross-border cooperation on economic transformation, particularly in areas such as cross-border trade, investment cooperation, and technological exchange. It examines the role of these cooperative forms in facilitating structural adjustments, enhancing innovation capabilities, and strengthening competitiveness within the regions. Furthermore, the study explores the importance and impact of intra-border cooperation in regional economic transformation, including cooperative models, policy frameworks, and lessons learned from intra-border collaborations. Based on the research findings, targeted policy recommendations are proposed to promote cross-border and intra-border cooperation and facilitate the economic transformation of the regions. These recommendations encompass policy measures supporting cross-border trade and investment, the establishment of robust regional cooperation mechanisms, and the enhancement of innovation capabilities. The theoretical significance of this study lies in its in-depth exploration of the mechanisms through which cross-border and intra-border cooperation contribute to regional economic transformation, providing new perspectives and theoretical support for relevant research. In practical terms, this study offers concrete policy suggestions for economic policymakers in Russia and China, facilitating economic structural upgrades, enhanced innovation capabilities, and sustainable development, ultimately driving regional economic transformation and collaborative growth.
