ABSTRACT
This thesis examines cultural dimensions as well as minor and major traits divided in groups to measure student satisfaction granted by organizational culture. The purpose of the present study is to provide a review of the relation between organizational culture perceived by students and the level of satisfaction experienced by them. Organizational culture always refers to a series of beliefs and behaviors adopted by an organization which affect its function. Satisfaction refers to the students’ perception of the environment, relations, and opportunities to succeed.
The review shows that Ural Federal University has an organizational culture but students in general results lack knowledge about all these principles and more emphasis should be put to spread institutional ideas. Adaptability, Consistency, Involvement and Mission were considered as fundamental key points and the obtained results showed resemblance, there is a strong balance among all these qualities and even though the scores were not favorable it gives us an idea about a general conclusion. A satisfaction survey divided into two groups (locals and students from abroad) was also carried out and a conclusive report was given extracting differences and similarities.
A chi square analysis depicted that only one major trait (Involvement) can be correlated between organizational culture and student satisfaction. The OCAI results stated current and preferred culture. Our final analysis demonstrated a comparative analysis among students from different places taking as a basis the previous results.
Finally ideas, suggestion and action activities were given to improve a future study related to this paper.
