The purpose of this study is to look into the relationship between the nationality of foreign colleagues (namely Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Singaporean) and the perceived benefits and threats of colleagues foreign countries on cultural diversity in the workplace of Vietnamese employees. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are applied in this study to have a deeper understanding of the cultural diversity on the Vietnamese workforce.
The practical significance of my study is contribute to the literature on trust with foreign employees, including trust development between foreign and host country nationals. Moreover, my findings have practical ramifications for managing workforce diversity and the management of international human resources, as well as the management of the interactions between native workers and expatriates.
My findings reveal that cultural diversity have both negative and positive effects on Vietnamese employees. Cultural diversity has a crucial influence on how people think, interact, and behave. There are both advantages and disadvantages to Vietnamese workforce working in a nationality-diverse environment. Cultural diversity can improve communication, creativity, innovation, productivity and employee satisfaction at work.Despite these major advantages, working in a cultural diversity environment can cause miscommunication, conflict, and discrimination. It also creates challenges that can hinder productivity and teamwork.
