Аннотация

The transition to a "green economy" is the most important global trend aimed at creating a sustainable and environmentally friendly development model. This process affects all spheres of human activity, including industry, energy, transportation and agriculture. In the context of increasing global warming and environmental degradation, the transition to a "green economy" is of paramount importance. The global oil market, a key sector of the world economy, is significantly impacted by environmental initiatives and legislative changes aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving the environmental situation. New standards, development of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies pose new challenges and opportunities for the oil industry.
The purpose of this thesis is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the impact of the transition to a "green economy" on the transformation of the global oil market. To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve several tasks: to study the theoretical basis of the "green economy" and its role in the modern world economy; to analyze the structure and dynamics of the world energy market, including oil, gas and renewable energy sources; to assess the main factors affecting the transformation of the world oil market under the conditions of the "green economy"; to study the changes in the structure and characteristics of the world oil market under the influence of environmental initiatives and sustainable development policy; to study examples of the transition to the "green economy"; to analyze the structure and characteristics of the world oil market.
The object of the study is the world oil market, and the subject is the impact of the transition to a "green economy" on this market. Methodologically, the study uses a comprehensive approach combining theoretical and empirical methods. The theoretical part is based on the analysis of scientific literature on the green economy, sustainable development and ecology. The empirical part includes the analysis of statistical data, reports of international organizations such as the UN, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and OPEC, as well as materials of scientific research and publications in the field of energy and ecology.
The practical significance of the study lies in the development of recommendations for further development and transformation of the oil market in the context of the "green economy". The results obtained can help to develop effective strategies for sustainable development of the energy sector.
The information and empirical base of the study consists of statistical data, reports of international organizations, scientific publications on energy and ecology.
The study concludes that the transition to a green economy is having a significant impact on the global oil market, driving structural change and promoting sustainable practices. Key findings include the identification of critical factors influencing market transformation, such as geopolitical stability, increasing use of renewable energy, technological advances in oil production and refining, and tightening environmental regulations. The analysis shows that the global shift towards renewable energy is changing the energy landscape by increasing the share of renewable sources in the energy mix. The adoption of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in the oil industry is emphasized as a trend that not only improves the industry's image in the face of the global climate crisis, but also increases its investment attractiveness.
The study demonstrates that integrating ESG factors into business strategies allows oil companies to reduce risks, identify growth opportunities and contribute to sustainable development. Since the 2015 Paris Agreement, investment in renewable energy has consistently exceeded investment in traditional fossil fuel-based energy. This shift is driven by countries' commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve carbon neutrality by mid-century. The European Green Deal and other international initiatives emphasize the importance of transitioning to a low-carbon economy to address climate change and ensure long-term sustainability.
Overall, the findings of this thesis contribute to a better understanding of the transformation processes in the global oil market in the transition to a green economy. The study provides practical recommendations for policy makers and industry stakeholders to ensure sustainable development and overcome the challenges and opportunities arising from the changing energy landscape.
