Влияние технологических инноваций на занятость в развивающихся странах The impact of technological innovation on employment in developing countries
Аннотация
Technological changes are at the center of numerous studies on their different effects on the economies of different countries. Among these studies, a special place is occupied by subsequent transformations in production methods and labor markets. Based on the example of developed countries, a theoretical basis has been formed according to which innovations can affect employment in two ways: the substitution effect and the compensation effect. To understand how technological innovations affect employment in developing countries, two main hypotheses have been put forward: 1) Technological innovation in developing countries will have a negative impact on employment 2) R&D costs are the most impactful in determining the effect of innovation on employment.
Thanks to the fixed-effect OLS method, it was possible to prove the impact of technological innovations on employment in twenty-nine developing countries. The following work proves the negative effects of innovation on employment and thus makes a significant contribution to the existing literature
