The issue of the impact of sanctions on international business is relevant and more significant every year. Sanctions have become an indispensable tool of foreign policy strategy in many countries, covering various sectors of the economy and affecting business processes, international investment, supply chains, etc. As a result, international companies are forced to revise their strategy and adapt to the new conditions.
This study examines changes in the current strategies of foreign companies operating in Russia as a result of the international sanctions imposed on the country. The analysis focuses on Unilever Rus, the Russian subsidiary of Unilever, a multinational corporation operating in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
The motivation behind this research is to provide valuable insights and recommendations for companies operating in Russia or other countries facing similar challenges due to international sanctions. By analysing the changes in strategies employed by Unilever Rus, this study aims to contribute to the understanding of how businesses can navigate and remain competitive in a sanction-driven environment.
The aim of the study is to assess the impact of sanctions on Unilever Rus' operations and develop concrete recommendations on how the company can adapt its strategy to comply with international sanctions, helping it to achieve its business goals and remain competitive.
The object of analysis in this study is Unilever Rus within the system of the international company Unilever. The subject of the study are international sanctions and their impact on foreign economic activity.
