Аннотация

This paper analyzes the impact of such economic factors as Inward FDI, Gross capital formation, Institutional quality, trade openness, human capital index and GDP, on the participation of companies in Global Value Chains. For this purpose, we analyzed data for 139 countries from 1990 to 2018. The analysis showed that HDI negatively affects companies' participation in GVC, which is associated with higher labor costs and the ability of countries with high HDI to focus on more high-tech industries. Factors such as high GDP, high trade openness, and high FDI encourage companies to participate in GVC.
