This is a comparative analysis of the development of the digital economy in Russia and Asian countries, focusing on the analysis of information and commu-nication technologies (ICT) in goods and services. The essence of this work is to analyze and define the digital economy, including its various aspects, and to as-sess its effectiveness in the sector of electronic and computer equipment produc-tion (ICT goods and services). Using a comparative-methodological approach, the study examines the impact of digitalization on the world economy, identifying both positive effects, such as optimized work processes and improved consumer experience, and negative ones, such as environmental problems. The author chose a few Asian countries for analysis, such as China, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Japan and Korea, as well and the Russian Federation. Based on its findings, the author of the article offer recommendations for the Russian Federation based on the analysis and comparison of data from different countries. The results of the analysis help to identify the strengths and weakness-es of each region in the ICT sector, as well as to identify the factors contributing to the successful development of the ICT sector and its impact on the economy. Thus, this article is an analytical study that aims to analyze and evaluate the digi-tal economy in the production of ICT goods and services, and to identify its im-pact on the global economy, taking into account the positive and negative as-pects. The main conclusions of the paper make predictions about the future de-velopment of the ICT sector in Russia and Asian countries, and offer recommen-dations for improving policies and investments in this area. A comparative anal-ysis of ICT goods and services contributes to a better understanding of trends and challenges in the digitalization of the economy and can serve as a basis for decision-making at the level of government and corporate strategy. Digitalization can help improve efficiency, productivity and competitiveness, but requires care-ful consideration of risks and challenges.
