This research paper is devoted to the study of migration factors in the United States of America, taking into account their regional and sectoral division. Migration is an important socio-economic phenomenon that affects the development of the country, its demographic structure and the labor market. The purpose of this study is to identify the main factors of migration to the United States and to identify migration trends in the regional and sectoral context. The study uses a gravity model to study the relationship between migration and economic and social factors, including income, education, employment opportunities and social ties. Classification by industry and regional section was carried out using cluster analysis. Using data from a 1% sample from the ACS Integrated Public Use Microdata Series for 2010 and 2018 (IPUMS) provided by the University of Minnesota. The study showed that regional and sectoral differences play an important role in the structure of migration, while income and employment levels are strong indicators of migration in the United States of America. The results also suggest that social binders, such as common borders, currency and language, are important factors of migration, especially among certain regional and ethnic groups in the United States of America.
