Acceleration of technological development processes influences changes in consumer demands and toughening of market competition in foreign markets, thus increasing the importance of developing an effective international strategy in the activities of IT-companies. In the existing highly competitive conditions, IT-companies need not only to pay attention to the financial state of affairs, but also to implement a
competitive strategy taking into account market changes in foreign markets. It should also be noted that currently the global market of Internet services is quite competitive and dynamic, and many technology companies are seeking to expand their activities internationally. In this case, the key market advantage becomes the development and
implementation of a specialized international strategy, which are increasingly considered as the main factor affecting the level of international competitiveness of an IT company. As a rule, in practice, there is no single international strategy for promotion of a company in the IT-industry, because for each company the process of its development depends on the company's potential, market position, level of
competitiveness, strategies of key competitors, the nature of innovation and technological activities and other factors. In this regard, the need to analyze the international development strategy of IT-companies represents the first aspect of relevance of the selected research topic.
Information technologies not only perform the function of business service, but also act as one of the sources of income, which is why it is necessary to develop this industry in Russia and help IT companies enter the international market. "Yandex", as the largest Russian company, also seeks to expand its operations internationally in order to expand the consumer market and increase revenue. In addition, the study of Yandex's international strategy can provide a basis for other Russian companies that are considering international expansion. In this regard, the analysis of Yandex's international strategy represents the second aspect of relevance of the selected research topic.The purpose of the study is to identify opportunities to improve the international
strategy of the company "Yandex" based on the analysis of the international IT industry and cases of international and Russian companies. In this regard, it is worth paying attention to the list of services provided by the IT company in the field of information technology, namely: IT outsourcing, cloud solutions and cybersecurity, as
well as research, development and implementation of innovative information technologies. The mentioned positions determine the type of IT-companies, hence, and determine the direction of development of the company's international strategy.
Achievement of the set goal involves solving the following tasks:
- to study the essence and concept of IT-companies;
- to consider the peculiarities of international strategies of global IT-companies;
- to characterize the peculiarities of development of Russian international IT companies;
- to consider the general characteristics of the company "Yandex";
- evaluate the development strategy of Yandex;
- to develop measures to improve the development strategy of the company "Yandex".
The object of the study is socio-economic relations arising in the international IT industry in the development and implementation of strategies of global member companies. The subject is the peculiarities of building an international strategy in the company "Yandex", as they include the analysis of factors affecting the successful international development of IT-companies, as well as the identification of optimal strategies for their international expansion. In addition, attention should be paid to the need to adapt the international strategy of IT-companies to regional peculiarities and market requirements. To solve the tasks set will be used such methods as: study, analysis and generalization of theoretical and empirical material on the topic of research,
classification and generalization of data, SWOT-analysis, PESTE-analysis,
comparative analysis, financial analysis and analysis of statistical indicators. So, in the theoretical part of the work will be used analysis of the material, as well as classification and generalization of data from scientific works. In the analytical part of the work applying comparative and financial analysis, as well as the study of statistical data is considered the activities of the company "Yandex" in the field of IT-technology,
the analysis of the development strategy of the organization using SWOT-analysis and PESTE-analysis. The practical significance of the research results lies in the possibility of using the main provisions and conclusions of the work in the development of international development strategy of Russian companies, which need to achieve leading positions among competitors, attract new customers, as well as continue to conduct their business in a rapidly changing technological environment.
