This paper explores the global economic consequences of the food problem, as well as suggests ways and mechanisms to solve it. The paper examines the main causes of the food problem and its impact on world food security, as well as analyzes various methods and strategies that can be used to solve this problem with the help of set goals and objectives.The food problem is one of the most acute problems of our time. It is associated with a lack of food and its insufficient distribution in the world, endangering the existence of mankind. The food problem causes many negative consequences for the world economy, such as rising food prices, a decrease in the standard of living of the population, deterioration of health, etc.In this paper, we investigate what food security is, what levels of development of society affect the solution of the food threat. The analysis is carried out on the identified problems and situations in the world that have occurred in recent years. Based on the selected factors and countries that were described in the paper, an econometric model was built to estimate the food production index.Based on the obtained statistical, econometric and other types of data, possible ways and solutions to world food security of countries are described, special attention is paid to third World countries, since these countries are the main leaders of the problem being solved.One of the main ways to solve the food problem is to increase the production of food and their accessibility for all segments of the population, therefore, an analysis of the influence of various factors on food production and how the state manages the manufactured products is carried out. Thus, solving the food problem is of great importance for the global economy and the well-being of the human species. It is necessary to use all available tools to accelerate the solution of this problem, given the fact that the world's population is increasing every year, and there is no opportunity to stock up on food forever.
