This work is devoted to the study of the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic cooperation between the EAEU countries. The paper analyzes the theoretical foundations of FDI and their impact on economic cooperation, as well as assesses the role of FDI in the development of the countries of the region. The first chapter of the work deals with the concept of foreign direct investment and economic cooperation, as well as the economic policy of governments in relation to FDI. The second chapter provides an empirical analysis of the impact of FDI on the economic cooperation of the EAEU countries using an econometric model, and also examines the role of FDI in the sustainable development of the countries of the region. As a result of the study, it was revealed that FDI can contribute to the development of economic cooperation, stimulate the growth of production volumes, increase exports, create new jobs and improve the living standards of the population. However, they can also have negative consequences such as worsening working conditions and environmental problems. The paper proposes recommendations for improving investment mechanisms to achieve the best results in the development of economic cooperation between the EAEU countries. The results of the study allow a better understanding of the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic cooperation between the EAEU countries and contribute to the development of the region.
