Влияние международных проектов на инфраструктуру крупных городов России
Аннотация
The aim of the study is to determine the impact of international projects of the Sochi Winter Olympics, the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the FIFA World Cup on the infrastructure of major Russian cities - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi and Yekaterinburg. This paper identifies the main indicators that determine the infrastructure of the city and assesses the changes in indicators in the time period 2010-2020.
Data analysis is carried out by statistical, comparative geographical, logical, complex and econometric methods of analysis. In particular, I use the analysis of structural shifts in the input of fixed assets, the analysis of infrastructure indicators in dynamics, regression analysis using a dummy variable. The novelty of the work lies in the general analysis of the impact of international projects on infrastructure at the regional level. As a result, it becomes clear that international projects have a stronger positive impact on the infrastructure of cities with an initially lower level of infrastructure development. International projects contribute to an increase in the population, international projects have a noticeable impact on the transport infrastructure. After the implementation of international projects, the number of residential premises is noticeably increasing, especially in Sochi, Yekaterinburg and Kazan. International projects have a strong positive impact on the tourist infrastructure – more collective accommodation facilities are being built, respectively, the number of tourists that the city can accommodate increases. International projects have a positive impact on the environmental component of the infrastructure, and also contribute to attracting foreign direct investment to the city hosting the international project.
As a result, it becomes clear that international projects have a stronger positive impact on the infrastructure of cities with an initially lower level of infrastructure development. Based on the analysis, I give recommendations on the formation of a strategy for the development of regions and cities.
