Аннотация

Asian region is a good example of new globalization trends. Countries in this region are strongly interconnected, specifically by culture. This connection influences every sphere of life inside these countries and spreads its influence beyond the borders. Unique position in this region belongs to Confucianism. Under the influence of this ideology, a unique way of doing business is formed. All the deals are supposed to be impacted by Confucianism. At the same time, technological development is restricted. This work is an attempt to explore the theoretical part of these questions and support empirically the cultural impact of Confucianism on M&A deals, ethical issues, including interpersonal and business, and the situation with digitalization within the region. Crucial goals of this work are understanding the background of M&A deals and formulating the connections between Sinosphere culture and business; investigating the background and influence of Confucianism on current processes and trends; and supporting empirically the ideas that were formulated during theoretical research. As an object of research, M&A deal value and company evaluation during the deal is investigated. The subjects include the influence of cultural similarities and interconnected development of the digital sphere. Main conclusions received in this work support the idea that cultural similarities have significant impact on the M&A deal values and for culturally similar countries, these values decrease. Specific countries have a unique impact on the deals. No matter the size of countries they can influence the culture of the Sinosphere and investments in such countries are supposed to be higher.
