Over the past decades, digitalization has become one of the main directions of development of the world economy. Revolutionary changes in the field of digital technologies cause transformation in all spheres of society. From the point of view of well-being, digital transformation is a source of both risks and opportunities. The relevance and practical significance of the issues of the relationship between digital transformation and the well-being of the population begins with the effectiveness of any social policy, and ends with support for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
The purpose of the work: to determine the existence of a relationship between digitalization and well-being and measure its closeness based on statistical calculations.
The object of the study: the level of digitalization and its impact on the subjective assessment of well-being in developed and developing countries.
The subject of the study: the consequences of digital transformation for the well-being of the population.
Based on the construction of a linear regression model in the Stata program, with an empirical basis in the form of variables that respectively describe the level of digitalization and well-being (the Network Readiness Index and the World Happiness Index), during the study period 2011–2021, a small positive impact of digitalization development on the assessment of the well-being of the population in 33 selected countries from the groups of developed and developing, moreover, in comparison, it turned out that in developed countries the level of digitalization turned out to be more significant, what can be connected with the existing effective policy of digitalization development.
