Аннотация
The change in international business has led to the emergence of new mechanisms in which business relations, national culture and consumer behavior have become the main parameters, which confirms the relevance of the chosen topic.
The object of the research is economic activity of international companies in Russia and the UK.
The subject of the research is socio-cultural indicators that influence economic activity of international companies in Russia and the UK.
The purpose of this work is to determine the influence of socio-cultural factors on business activity in Russia and UK.
The study estimated how cross-cultural indicators influence on the economic activity of international companies in Russia and the UK by using G. Hofstede and F. Trompenaars theories.
Based on the premises from the scientific papers analyzed in the first chapter 2 theories of Hofstede and Trompenaars were chosen. Temporal boundaries were determined by the availability of data, while spatial boundaries were determined by the region under study. The data were taken from the open database factors and research results of G. Hofstede and F. Trompenaars.
In the course of the conducted empirical analysis, two main theories of cross-cultural, Hofstede and Trompenaars theories, indicators were compared. It was revealed that socio-cultural factors have a significant positive impact on business development, so entrepreneurs must take into account the socio-cultural environment in which they plan a business for its successful development.
Thus, global business has its own set of challenges, but it can also be a source of enormous organizational growth. To prepare for these obstacles, diversify your news consumption and closely track international affairs, develop relationships in countries where you plan to do business, invest in interpreters to address language barriers, and consider taking a global business course.
