The topic of the study is the phenomenon of ecosystems created by banks, as well as related technological innovations implemented by credit institutions to improve their efficiency, as well as to obtain new opportunities for cooperation with non-financial institutions. The paper examines the objectives of the formation of digital ecosystems of financial services. The features of the formation of digital ecosystems of financial services are defined. Ecosystems and the specifics of the products and services of Russian and Chinese banks, using the example of "Sberbank" and "Industrial and Commercial Bank of China". Assumptions are made about the fate of the fate of the classic banking model. Possible losses and damages of classic banks and digital ecosystems are discussed of classic banks and digital ecosystems associated with the pandemic coronavirus.
