Analysis and Forecasting ·of Floods under Climate Change for the Downstream of Kunduz River Basin in Afghanista

This thesis is dedicated to Analysis and Forecasting of Floods under Climate Change for the Downstream of Kunduz River in Afghanistan. For analysis and forecasting of the Floods in the Downstream of Kunduz River, HEC-RAS 5.0.1 (Hydraulic Engineering Center- River Analysis System) was used. Furthermore, HEC-HMS 4.1 (Hydraulic Engineering Center- Hydrologic Modeling System) was used to simulate the precipitation-runoff within the channel of Kunduz River Downstream.
Moreover, for the purpose of statistics, I used SMADA Online (Storm-water Management and Design Aid). The results of the research of flooding on the Downstream of Kunduz River can be used by both Ministry of Energy and Water of Afghanistan and Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock as guidance to mitigate flooding in the floodplains in Kunduz Province
